Dynabook reading

Reading this reminded me of ancient civilizations that came up with technology and medicine 100's of years before other scientists "discovered them" While some of the things seem outdated (like the disk system), the overall idea remains the same for the laptops/ipods/etc. today. An item that can hold multiple information that can be withdrawn at any time. All the programs that he was talking are available today (word editing, animation, painting, audio compilation and player). Some of the other things he was stating are things people are doing now (doctors putting their medical information on software so that it is easier to transfer/pull up, composers listening to their own work through sound recordings). The way it looks to me is kind of funny and sad, we could have had laptops sooner, but alas it was not ment to be.
