At the last three weeks of this semester, Mr. Panago introduced us a new video editing software Adobe After Effects. Adobe Premiere, which is also mainly for video editing that I explored in midterm project, is generally employed to arrange the order of videos, cut and put transitions, it is also capable of doing basic DVD authoring. While After Effects can edit video footage in much the same way as Premiere, it is designed specifically to work with video layering, compositing, effects and animation. Basically as what it states in its name, it is used for "Effects".Of course Premiere can also do these things but After Effects has a slightly different workflow that makes them easier. Projects are due on Thursday, so I think we should start presenting on Thursday. The earlier, the more convenient it will be for me.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about anyone else, but I've got a class right after this one on MWF and next Friday I have an exam--and I'd really prefer not to have to skip out on most of the projects.
ReplyDeleteI'm in favor of Thursday. Maybe we can take over the period Arturo's class meets (right before us) since we're doing presentations in that class later in the afternoon that day. Though I guess that could present similar scheduling problems for some people.
It might be best just to do it thurs/fri during class time. It's gonna be hard to fill in everyone's schedules.
ReplyDeleteI'm ok with doing presentations on Thurs/Fri. I think that now everyone knows that Youtube takes some time to load, we can eliminate lots of downtime and would be able to do it in 2 class periods.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we should just make sure to burn all of our videos or rip them from youtube ahead of time.
ReplyDeleteI'm ok with doing presentations thursday and friday within the class times. I have a final in my class on friday right after this class, so staying until 2 would be impossible for me.
ReplyDeleteI think the best course of action is to decide in class (with a vote for example) which of the two days would be better for staying past class time. Then, whoever isn't able to stay on that day would get priority to present on the other. agree/disagree? what do you guys think?
ReplyDeleteI think Thursday and Friday during class should be enough time if everyone brings their video or other media already downloaded or on a disk. With so many diverse schedules, I think it would be too hard to schedule time outside of our regular class time.
