· Ernesto
o Project was well done and well thought of, but the beginning of the presentation was shaky as the music was too loud to hear his presentation clearly. Gave interesting examples, and drew from many sources. Videos were well done.
o Score 9-10
· Donna Davis – Learning Modalities
o Presentation was clear and informative. Showed a great deal of knowledge on her subject. Very well done and rather seamless movement between different subjects in her presentation. Explained things beyond my knowledge very well.
o Score 10
· John O’Hearn (Evidence of Frustration)
o Great Idea. Both projects were well done, but the presentation itself was all over the place and didn’t seem to have a unified theme. Content was very good, and the idea of the endurance finder is awesome. Overall not the most organized and continuous project.
o Score 8
· Ray Parkinson
o Content was very good, but technical difficulties plagued his presentation. Over all great use of technology and very fluent knowledge of the subject matter. All the images on the site were created by him on photoshop. Great fluency in that tech area.
o Score 8
· Matt Gerstman (terminal Tips for Today)
o Very well done presentation. Very informative and interesting, also was very coherent. Showed the evolution of the digital culture and brought together multiple ideas from class clearly and concisely.
o Score 10
· Aarin Binder (Digital Web Site)
o Creation of the website was very well done. Organization of all the work was also well done. The digitally created video was a great example of using a 3D digital video creator. Had a good grasp of the website editing, but I believe it needed a little more content and more interactivity. Again a great idea and great presentation.
o Score 8-9
· Kevina Lee (Youtubing as a form of communication)
o Good use of freesound for her project and using open source programs. I liked her incorporation of audio files and images in her plaza website. She married the two elements relatively well. But no real original work besides the laptop image.
o Score 8
· Alberto
o Very clever use of the Macromedia program. The shorts were well thought out and funny. I liked the idea of chronicling his experiences in converting from PC to linux. Is a great way to mesh the ideas of class with the project.
o Score 8-9
· Wayne Dewhirst
o Incredibly well thought out ides on the project and on class. Presented video’s which he made and they were very well connected in thought to the presentation. I liked the idea of the ambulatory collage which seemed to be a stream of conscience style video. Seems to connect to whole idea that technology is beginning to become much more personal and much more like stream of conscience, e.g. twitter, facebook updates, blogs.
o Score 10
· Nate (Machinima)
o Very interesting project and presentation. His use of the game and free software to create his video was a nice connection to the class. The video was amazing and conveyed a very real sense of presence. Very smooth editing. Can’t wait to see the final video.
o Score 10
· Tiva (Vocaloid)
o Very knowledgeable on the subject matter of her project and all the extraneous stuff. Very interesting premise of the vocaloid software. I remember the video from earlier where they interviewed people about the specific vocaloid music and some had trouble distinguishing it from a human, which marks an evolution from the very electronic wooden voices from the past.
o Score 9-10
· Nicola
o Very smooth presentation and original use of the Inspiration program, it is a welcome change from Powerpoint presentations. Video was well done. Interesting use of the blogs to help her students to learn.
o Score 9-10
· Theresa (Plaza of Torrana)
o The website was well designed and a nice change from the bland white site that most nubes still have including me. Her pictures were nice, her use of fickr was a great way of incorporating a class component in her project and keep her website less cluttered. I liked her second life scripting, was very well done.
o Score 9-10
· Chris Medlicott
o His .gif file that was displayed on the blog was very interesting. Displayed knowledge of making a website. The blog that describes the process was a great idea for all people who are new to the web and want to make their own site.
o Score 9-10
· Erin Wilson (Away with words)
o Interesting idea of studying the use of words in the digital culture. I like the idea that fonts influence how people feel and react. Funny iphone app. A lot of interesting content on her blog. Really went around to find a lot of content for it, but dragged the presentation on.
o Score 8-9
· David Rountree
o Great idea bringing in the parents and children to the blog. Shows how digital culture is spreading to the younger set before it gets to the parents. He displayed a great amount of knowledge of blogging and sound and video editing.
Score 9
· Namon Littlejohn
o Very well designed website. There was a lot of content and it was great. I wonder if he wants to do the speed drawing for his website, I’d like to see that in his final.
o Sore 8-9
· Collins Obinwa
o Used Blender. The screenshots of how he learned were a great way to illustrate his learning process. His final product, the snowman was very well done. He learned a lot through his project and it shows how the internet can teach you how to just about anything in this day and age.
