The recipe that I came across is entitled "Party Lights."
It creates a starburst visual effect by utilizing particle effects. It even has feedback trails and a bloom effect, for extra gawking oo's and ahh's. It can be applied to video and responds to audio input or else can be programmed to activate in a particular way. Although the effect looks both simple and visually stunning, it consists of a complex set of matrixes to create the final product.

At the last three weeks of this semester, Mr. Panago introduced us a new video editing software Adobe After Effects. Adobe Premiere, which is also mainly for video editing that I explored in midterm project, is generally employed to arrange the order of videos, cut and put transitions, it is also capable of doing basic DVD authoring. While After Effects can edit video footage in much the same way as Premiere, it is designed specifically to work with video layering, compositing, effects and animation. Basically as what it states in its name, it is used for "Effects".Of course Premiere can also do these things but After Effects has a slightly different workflow that makes them easier.
